In the web, there has to be a way to identify each different web site. Domain name is the identity or address within the online community using the Internet. A website is basically identified by a domain name that is simply used as recognition labels to signify ownership or control of a resource. It uses a variety of networking contexts and application-specific naming and addressing functions. Registration of domain names is managed by domain name registrars who vend services to the public.
